It's just about time for us to flip the shop over from Winter Snowbiz over to Summer Boardbiz. We're truly at odds with getting into summer mode while the winter season is still raging up at Mt Hood Meadows (over a foot of new snow this past week, with more to come in the next week).

June 14 - LIQUID FORCE SLIDER PARTY @ The River City Saloon with a kitemovie premiere and live music from 'THE QUICK AND EASY BOYS' - $7 cover charge 

July 5th - PIMP-n-HO PARTY @ The River City Saloon with DJ, Costume Contest and more debauchery than you can shake a stick at. This'll be one to remember. - $7 cover charge.

Aug 9th - Kiteboarding 4 Cancer(KB4C) After Event Party @ The River City Saloon with DJ, Live Music and tons of raffle prizes, all done 4 a good cause, fighting cancer. $10 cover charge. 

For those of you jonesing for the Spring season to come, here are some toys on the soon to arrive list for Spring: 

SLINGSHOT KITEBOARDING: Kiteboards arrived this week (Mar26) - All sizes of SX, Misfit, Lunacy, SST and FUSE.  REV Kites have been in stock since September, with all sizes currently available. Last but not least, T3 Kites are due to arrive in late April or early May. 

LIQUID FORCE KITEBOARDING: For Gorge Kiteboarding, LF will be the shiznit for 2008. 2nd Wind will have the full board product line, SESSION and HAVOC kites, and a fully support parts and accessories department for servicing both LF and other kite brand parts needs.

ROYAL KITEBOARDING: ERA Kites are coming into the shop this month.  Expect to see these kites being ridden by some of the hardcore locals.

NOBILE KITEBOARDS and  FANATIC KITEBOARDS: Nobile is our premium kiteboard brand providing unsurpassed quality and performance, while Fanatic is our premium priced board brand providing the best sandwich construction with the best retail price value.

OXBOW, BICSURF and SURFTECH SURFBOARDS: Stand up paddle boards, shortboard kite/surfboards and longboards will be filling out our surf department with producted expected to be arriving in early May. We'll have a full fleet of Stand Up Paddle boards available in our demo fleet to try out.

AEROTECH SAILS and HOTSAILS MAUI: Aerotech AIRX and FREESPEED sails as well as the ever popular HOTSAILS Superfreak will be available for 2008 both in our demo and retail fleets.

EXOCET SAILBOARDS and BIC SAILBOARDS: Our Exocet container is due to arrive in Hood River around the first week in April and our Bic container should be arriving along with our Oxbow surf order sometime in early May.  Demo boards of all models will be available for 'try-before-you-buy' demos. 

FIBERSPAR and EPIC MASTS and BOOMS: Masts and booms from both brands will be available at 2nd Wind, with price and quality being the main focus in our product inventory.  

MYSTIC and DAKINE ACCESSORIES: These brands will round out our wetsuit, harness, board bag and accessories product lines for kiteboard, surfing and kiteboarding.  You want it, we'll have it, either current year 2008 product, or 07 and older closeouts at killer prices.

CAMPING, CLOTHING and OTHER SOFTGOODS: Look for more items from Outdoor Research, Mountain Hardware, Rossignol, Liquid Force, Liquid, Pacific Teaze, Dakine, Mystic, "It's All Good in the Hood", as well as all your camping and hiking parts and supplies needed for experiencing quality camping. 

Last but not least, Congratulations to 2nd Wind Sports Staff and Teamrider, Anna Weber for totally killing it at the 2008 2nd Annual Mt Hood Meadows Banked Slalom, taking 1ST PLACE in the Womens Division!!!!!!!  YEAHHHHH ANNA!!!!!!  You are a super bad ass!!!
