Staff:
Mike Snedecor.   A veteran at 2nd Wind Sports, Mike is a former long-time Mt Hood Meadows employee, former professional windsurf instructor and experienced kiteboard instructor.  Mike has 10+ years experience in the windsurf and snowboard industry, as an instructor and in sales.   Mike is our shop snowboard and windsurf specialist, whose passion for these sports is unmatched.  When you come by the shop, Mike can easily be recognized due to the fact that he always has a ball cap on and only wears black shirts.   We believe that Mike secretly envies the 2-planked skiers and dreams of one day becoming a professional Nordic skier.
Matt Luchsinger.   Also a veteran 2nd Wind Sports employee, Matt is a lifelong skier and snowboarder, as well as a dedicated and experienced kiteboarder.   Matt brings to our shop a tremendous amount of experience in our ski department as our ski specialist and an experienced Tech Rep for Rossignol Skis and Snowboards.  In the summer, Matt brings his enthusiasm for kiteboarding to our customers as our kiteboard specialist.   When not at the shop working, you can usually find Matt (aka"Suds") hanging out with his Black Lab 'Desiree' at the Sandbar (our local kiteboard launch) or working on his tricks at any of the Mt.  Hood Meadows terrain parks.
Anna Weber.   Anna joined our team in 2006 when she moved from the East (Ice) Coast to pursue her love of snowboarding.  A graduate of the Snow Sports Industries Association professional studies program, a snowboard coach at the famed Carrabassett Academy, a PSIA level III Certified Snowboard Instructor and a nationally ranked snowboard competitor (consistent 2nd place finishes in local event and 6th place overall at the 2007 US Nationals in Boardercross and Giant Slalom), Anna brings unique and varied professional experiences to our snowboard program.   Her passion for the outdoors is infectious and she'll do her best to answer any question for customers visiting our snowboard, ski, nordic, camping and backcountry departments.   For the 2007 summer Anna hopes to dial in her whitewater kayaking skills and get in some time on the water to develop her windsurfing and kiteboarding skills.
Cheyne Swick.   A locally born Kiteboarder and Windsurfer, Cheyne is part of our summer staff and our "go to guy" for any and all kiteboarding questions.  In addition to working for 2nd Wind Sports, Cheyne is also a "Marketing and Tech Rep" for Slingshot Kiteboarding.  When it comes to fixing kite parts or needing advice on how to improve your kiting skills, Cheyne is your man! Cheyne also is an experienced professional windsurf instructor and certified kiteboard instructor.  In the winter season, Cheyne is pursuing a degree at Windward Community College, in Kaneohe, HI.
Alex Nielsen. Our shop "Grom", Alex is an experienced windsurf competitor and recreational snowboarder.  As a long-time competitor in the Gorge Cup Race (Formula and Slalom) Series, Alex has been quickly moving up the ranks as a podium finisher in the junior division.   Alex finished 1st Place Overall for the 2006 season in the Gorge Cup Race Series.  You'll find Alex and hid Dad (Derek) typically sailing on the Columbia River any day the wind blows.   Whether it is summer or winter, sunny or rainy, these guys are die-hard windsurfers.  When not working at the shop or out on the water windsurfing, Alex is stuck at school being a typical high school student.
